Web Project – Intersource Consulting Group
Based in New York City, this consulting company was looking for a professional website to showcase their products and services. Using a WordPress platform and a few added plugins, we were able to accomplish their goals. By utilizing the twenty twelve theme, I modified some CSS in the custom CSS section and added some plug-ins.
Plug-ins used for this project:
On the pages, the client wanted their information to expand and contract based on the user’s input. This plug-in allowed me to do so using Collapse-O-Matic’s jQuery code that creates a collapsible div section. Using their [expand] shortcode and the content within the shortcode is now collapsible. Here is an example of how I used the plugin on this web project. I highly recommend this plugin, here is a link for more information on the Collapse-O-Matic plugin.
I have used this plugin on other projects. It doesn’t replace the theme’s footer, but adds another line to below the footer to allow for copyright info and web/hosting info. A simple, yet effective tool. Click for more information on the plugin, Footer Putter.
Huge IT Google Maps
Perfect for providing your visitors with information about the exact location of your business. If you have multiple locations, you can create multiple markers on the same map. The one issue I had with using the Huge IT Google Maps plugin was spacing below the map. I eventually decided to put the map and address for this client inside its own div class so that I could set the padding for the div class. You can see the example of the Google Map in use on the Intersource Consulting Group’s website. Click for more information on the plugin, Huge IT Google Maps.
